Who are we?
Jody and I have been married for 18 years and we have two children, Josiah and Elena. We both grew up in the church and have been active in missions and ministries all our adult lives. I have a degree in art with a minor in computer graphics and most recently worked in Web Development for the Home School Legal Defense Association. Jody has a degree in speech communication with a minor in Russian studies. She has had a long-standing love for the people of the former Soviet Union and has desired to go there to serve the Lord since before the fall of communism. Our son, Josiah, is 13 years old and has had a heart for missions since he was very young. Elena is also 13 and is our “Padaraka” (little gift) from Ukraine. We adopted Elena in July of 2002 from the city of Dnepropetrovsk, when she was 7 years old.
One thing we like to do as a family is go fishing, so we call our family ministry Fish4Him because we’ve also been called to be “fishers of men”. Using the abilities God has blessed us with along with His strength in the areas we are lacking we hope to see God glorified through our lives and the work we are able to do in Ukraine.

Who is Greater Europe Mission?
Greater Europe Mission (GEM) has worked in Europe for more than 50 years. During that time, we have learned how to do effective ministry there and have evolved to meet changing needs. Greater Europe Mission is committed to God, the peoples of Europe, the Body of Christ in North America, and the people of Greater Europe Mission. Our passion is to provide every person in Europe with the opportunity to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to glorify God in all that we do, personally and organizationally.

What is eDOT and what does it do?
eDOT stands for electronic discipleship, outreach and training. The focus of eDOT is “Helping Build the Church in Europe through Technology.” We have all witnessed how technology has changed our lives, sometimes for the good, sometimes for the bad. But technology is also opening new windows of opportunity for the Gospel in ways we never thought possible even a few years ago. GEM’s eDOT program has begun working with the European Church on using technology to bring information, opportunity and the Gospel to the people of Europe. eDOT has partnered with Moody Bible Institute and European Bible Schools to develop computer based Bible courses and set up computers in local churches so local pastors can get the training they desperately need. These learning centers are also a great outreach tool for the church. They have been used to provide training and valuable new technical skills to people in the community while bringing them in contact with their local church and providing an opportunity for them to hear the Gospel, and this is just the beginning! But we must remember technology isn’t the answer, it’s a tool, a tool God has provided to reach His people. The eDOT program continues to search for new ways to leverage technology and train Europeans to equip, grow, and reproduce the Church so every person in greater Europe will be within reach of a witnessing fellowship.

What are we be doing with eDOT?
eDOT began its work in Ukraine, translating Moody courses into Russian and installing learning centers in the southwestern regions. As the ministry continued to expand in Ukraine, there was a need for someone to coordinate the work in the country. This is the role I feel I have been called to and equipped. Our first job is to learn Russian, so we can be more effective in our ministry. As my language skills increase I will begin coordinating the eDOT initiatives in Ukraine, identifying needs, finding partners, planning solutions, training workers, and making contacts, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of eDOT efforts. Ultimately, it is all about the people of Ukraine and impacting individual lives for the Kingdom in everything we do.
