--- Visiting Sister Churches ---
Wow, I can't believe we have been in our new apartment for a month now. It seems like we just moved in last week. We really like the new place. Our landlords, Victor and Sveta, have been really great. They have already painted one room and put a new floor into our living room/bedroom. We have enjoyed getting to know them. We will tell you more about them in the future.
These next few weeks we have the pleasure of meeting and working with three churches from the states as they come over to minister with their sister churches here. This morning I am leaving with a team from Lakewood, NY, to visit their sister church in Mlyniv, Ukraine. I will be riding up with the team and visiting until Sunday when I will be coming back by myself on the bus to Kiev. Please pray for me. On Sunday afternoon, Jody and the kids will meet up with a team from New Castle, PA, and travel with them to their sister church in Babintsy. This is the same place I went 12 years ago on my first mission trip to Ukraine and where Jody went in March. The team will be working with children in the morning and teaching English in the evenings. Jody and the kids will be helping out and I plan on joining them on Monday after returning from Mlyniv. We will be staying in Babintsy for the week and then returning to Kiev on Saturday. On Sunday we will be traveling to the nearby town of Brovary to visit with a team from Mansfield, OH, who will also be working with children and doing English outreach. Please pray for us during this time. Whenever you are traveling and staying in new places there are always things you don't expect. Please pray that we will show patience and love in all situations. We are really looking forward to this time of ministry, actually getting to do a little of what we came here to do. With all that is going into getting us ready for full-time ministry (support raising, training, language learning, and settling) it's good to have times like these to remind you why you came and what God is doing. Please pray for what God is doing in Ukraine.

Here are some more things to be praying about:
- Thank you for all your prayers regarding our decisions on the kids schooling and our schooling in the fall. We now have made some of those decisions and as we finalize the details we will share them with you. We thank God for providing His peace about these sometimes very difficult decisions.
- Please continue to pray for Jody's health. While she continues to manage things day to day, the pain and other symptoms are always there reminding her that she is sick. Pray for strength and patience.
- We are very thankful for the Transformation church we are now attending regularly. Please pray as summer fades and things get back to normal that we will be able to find places to serve and fellowship in the church.
Thank you for your prayers,
Andrew Hawes
