--- The heat is on in Kiev ---
I mean that literally. The city turned on the centralized heating on October 15. A few days before, the temperature at night had gone below freezing and our apartment was cold. We were soon happy to hear the gurgling sound of the hot water filling the radiators. Only one side of the building worked the first day but a few days later, after a lot of noise on the roof, all the radiators were giving off warmth. Just in time for the outside temperature to warm back up into the sixties.
We are happy for the heat and we are happy to be here in Ukraine.
--- 2007 eLC Directors Conference ---
Thank you for your prayers. At the beginning of this month, we had a conference for the directors of our eLearning Centers in Ukraine. We had a good turn out. It was a great time for all of us to share with each other what God is doing through the computer centers and related ministries. We heard testimonies of people coming to know the Lord and lives being changed. In southern Ukraine, one of our eLCs is reaching out into its Muslim community, ministering to people that won't step foot inside a church. Our work with the bible schools in Ukraine is starting to gain momentum as they continue to grow and expand their distance learning programs. All in all, it was a great conference and I came away from it very encouraged. It is clear that God is working through the eDOT ministries in Ukraine.
You can see pictures from the conference plus pictures of our church and the newest eLC by visiting the Photos section of out website.

Here are some more things to be praying about:
- Praise God for peaceful parliamentary elections. The pro-western parties in Ukraine have won a majority. Please pray for God's blessing on the new government and the country.
- Please continue to pray for the English Club Jody is working with in Brovary. They had a movie night a few weeks back and watched "The End of the Spear". Hopefully that touched some lives.
- Elena has grown out of her current prosthetic leg. We thank God for helping us find a prosthetist in Kiev who is making her a new one. This has been a concern of ours for a long time, and we are very grateful for the Lord's provision. We are doing this without a translator, but things seem to be coming along. Amen!
Thank you for your prayers,
Andrew Hawes
